Two Libyan men were arrested for allegedly stealing a number of items from St George’s Bay early yesterday.

The arrests were made after the St Julian’s police were alerted about the theft at about 3.15am. Following a brief search in the area, officers spotted two men sitting on the sand next to a white hat filed with objects.

A woman went up to the officers and told them a mobile phone in the hat was hers, the police said.
