To celebrate the 30th anniversary of the transformation of the Holy Infirmary into a conference centre in 1979, MCC, Valletta, recently hosted an exhibition of paintings by a select group of local artists, themed 'Malta through the Ages', in Cotoner Hall.

The exhibition featured paintings by Catherine Cavallo, Celia Borg Cardona, Charles Cassar, John Borg Manduca, John Martin Borg, Kenneth Zammit Tabone, Ray Parascandalo and Victor Grech.

Mediterranean Conference Centre sales and marketing manager Rosette Micallef said: "Every anniversary is an important occasion to be commemorated, not only in view of what it represents but also because it helps us look at what we have achieved.

During its 30th year MCC proved a fertile land for the cultivation and flourishing of local talent and also for the exhibition of international talent, to which the Maltese have attended in huge numbers."
