The first annual public lecture in memory of Nadia Farrugia will be held at the Aula Magna, Valletta Campus, St Paul Street, Valletta, on Friday at 6.30 p.m. The lecture, presided over by Juanito Camilleri, is entitled 'Recent Developments in the Study of Economic Vulnerability and Resilience'.

Ms Farrugia was an assistant lecturer in Microeconomics at the University. Her main research areas were small states studies, particularly economic vulnerability and resilience, economic growth and competitiveness.

She was a PhD candidate at the University of Malta researching economic vulnerability, resilience and endogenous growth conditions.

Her most recent publications focused on composite index construction, small states and economic resilience.
