Around €485,000 is being invested in a project to refurbish the signal processing laboratory of the Department of Communications and Computer Engineering, which forms part of the University of Malta's newly set up Faculty of Information and Communication Technology.

The project, which will involves purchase of state-of-the-art equipment to capture, process and present multimedia signals for various ICT applications, will be implemented by mid-2010.

It is part-financed by the EU under the European Regional Development Fund (ERDF) of the Cohesion Policy Programme 2007-2013.
