A new artificial grass pitch and a four-lane 200-metre oval athletics track was inaugurated last Friday by Parliamentary Secretary for Sports and Culture Clyde Puli at San Anton School, l-Imselliet. The €360,000 sports complex includes a 2,600-square metre grass area which can accommodate three five-a-side pitches. The grass area has a Fifa-approved 'carpet' with eco-friendly Geofill infill, the first to be laid locally.
