Students at St George Preca College's Lorenzo Manchè Boys' School, Floriana, recently celebrated after being awarded a grade 1 with distinction by the Trinity Guildhall Board of Examinations.

At their drama examination earlier this year, the boys had presented stories about refugees under the theme 'Diversity' through mime, dance and selected literature, including speeches from Shakespeare's Merchant of Venice.

The students were coached by their drama teacher Adrian Buckle, while Tony Bezzina, principal of the Masquerade Theatre Group, made arrangements for the students to sit for exams and offered a scholarship to one of the students.

Mr Buckle thanked College principal Joe Buttigieg, Drama executive officier John Suda and school head Carmen Cassar for their support throughout the project which is now being extended to all primary and secondary schools within the college.
