A Pietà man was yesterday charged with trying to burgle a store in Birkirkara together with another two people.

Joseph Vella, 38, pleaded not guilty to trying to steal from a store belonging to Roger Satariano and Sons Company Limited on Wednesday at about 11.30 a.m.

Mr Vella was granted bail against a personal guarantee of Lm5,000.

Magistrate Antonio Mizzi presided over the case.

Police Inspector Joseph Mercieca prosecuted.

Lawyer Joseph Giglio appeared for the accused.
