A 22-year-old man from Kirkop was remanded in custody after being charged with stealing from three different residences on separate dates.

Magistrate Antonio Mizzi heard Justin Polidano plead not guilty to stealing over Lm1,000 worth of items from a Zurrieq residence and under Lm1,000 worth of items from a residence in Tarxien and a house in Paola between July and November 2006.

He was also charged with causing damage to all three properties and handling stolen property.

Police Inspector Carmelo Magri prosecuted.
