The headline of the Nationalist Party’s daily newspaper, ‘Qtil politiku’ (political murder) and the speech by Opposition leader Adrian Delia the day after Daphne Caruana Galizia was murdered shows how irresponsible political parties can be.

Spreading the uncertain truth is a dangerous thing to do. It’s also a grave mistake to judge and point fingers before the investigation is complete.

The Prime Minister’s speech was more appropriate and peaceful. And it is what people would want to hear after a situation like this.

Fanning the flames of division is one big thing political leaders should be sure to avoid.

Daphne was admired by all those who liked to hear the truth about anything going on around us, a journalist with guts to spare. May others follow in her footsteps and always be outspoken and brave.
