We have been coming to Malta for many years and were in Marsaxlokk the other Sunday, sitting, waiting for service at a bar. We were eventually given a menu and we ordered a drink, which got to us after 20 minutes. By this time we were burning, being in the sun.

We declined food, consumed our drinks and asked for the bill for which we waited another 10 to 15 minutes. I went in to pay and found that the bill for a pint of larger and a Kinnie was €7.

This is not good for Malta’s tourism.

We also hopped on to a bus, the first with the new service, and paid €2.20 for a single trip when before we used to pay 47c.

This is not the way to encourage tourism.
