As often declared, a teacher can make you or break you. Such is the case along my scholastic life. During my years at ITS, three in total, there were plenty of days when I was driven to give up on my studies. Reason being teachers who were focused on their self being and gratification rather than that of their students; interested in dictating rather than understanding; receiving rather than giving, thus reducing “teaching” to its lowest form: attendance in class and handing out assignments. No relationship with the student. A student being just a name on an attendance sheet.

And yet I managed to circumvent all of this thanks to the help of one of the best lecturers, my rock, Nathalie Barbara (tuition kitchen). No words can express my appreciation for her presence in my life.

She was one who managed to compensate for all of the above. She was always there to assist and help out, kind and understanding, and yet professional and demanding. A teacher the way a teacher should be.

Sincere thanks to Mrs Barbara. With her help I have not only managed to complete my course and graduate; she also left a “humane” imprint on me that shall allow me to understand and help others during my life.

Warm and sincere thanks Mrs Barbara!
