Forestals have been appointed the suppliers of digital information kiosks for the local councils’ EGOV4U project. The information kiosks, known as access points, were launched by Carmelo Mifsud Bonnici, Minister of Home Affairs and Local Government, at the Forestals showroom in Mriehel.

As part of the EGOV4U initiative, the Local Council Association will be installing interactive digital information kiosks in a number of local councils. The kiosks will enable citizens who do not have access to an internet enabled device to access the egov services available for free from their local council. The kiosks will be supplied, installed and maintained by Forestals after winning a competitive bid issued by the Local Council Association.

The kiosks form part of the company’s digital services including digital signage and outdoor advertising solutions. Other similar services are currently being finalised and due to be rolled out in the near future.
