The 28th edition of the Engineering Projects Exhibition will showcase the projects carried out by the undergraduate engineering students during the final year of their four-year B.Eng. (Hons) degree programme, as well as those of postgraduate engineering students.

The total number of exhibits this year amounts to 80. These exhibits will include a wide selection of topical areas related to the biomedical field, renewable energy, the environment, electronic products, robotics, transportation, manufacturing processes, new materials and surface treatments.

The aim of the exhibition is to give all students – from primary to post-secondary education – employers and employees within the industrial, health and services sectors and the public an opportunity to view the projects first- hand and to meet with graduating students of the faculty.  The exhibition also gives visitors the opportunity to tour the faculty’s laboratory facilities and gather a better understanding of the engineering profession. It might also attract young people to a career in engineering and give them a glimpse of the vast opportunities available to professional engineers via studies at the Faculty of Engineering.

It will also serve as a meeting place where employers meet prospective engineering graduates.

The projects will be on display within the various laboratories at the Faculty of Engineering, University of Malta, Msida Campus, today from 9am to 10am and tomorrow from 9am to 1pm. For more information, contact Michael Spiteri on michael.spiteri@um.edu.mt  or call 2340 3644.
