Re-Nè & Er featuring Chess

Considered one of the top upcoming dance music duos on the island, Re-Nè & Er have to date produced a good number of tracks, all successfully garnering significant airplay on local radio and singling out the duo as a name to watch out for.

Following last year’s Angel Calling single, which featured Corazon on vocals, Re-Nè & Er are back with a brand new tune that promises to consolidate their standing in the local dance scene.

Perfect Love retains all the melodic qualities we’ve come to expect from their blend of progressive house and trance, except that this time around, they’ve hooked up with young Maltese singer Chess.

“The guys got in touch when I was in Malta last summer,” said the London-based vocalist of her involvement. “It was the first time we’d worked together, and I have to say I love their passion and the precision they put into their music.”

After trying out a few different ideas around the main melody, the proper production work kicked in, with Chess recording her vocal parts in the UK and the duo putting it all together back here.

“The song was inspired by the irony of love, as in, is there such a thing as perfect love, and can it last forever?” the duo explained. “We’re very pleased with Chess’s contribution; it boosts the music and helps bring out the concept more clearly.”

Perfect Love will be released in the coming weeks.
