The Malta Youth Orchestra, an affiliate of the Malta Philharmonic Orchestra, is looking for musicians.

The MYO still has some vacancies, especially in the string section.

The orchestra’s immediate engagements include a concert for Notte Bianca at the Chamber of Commerce in Republic Street (Saturday at 8 p.m. and repeated onthe hour until 11 p.m.) and another one at the palace in Valletta (November 20) as part of theChildren’s Festival.

The orchestra is now made up of just under 60 members and rehearses with its musical director, Joseph Vella, every Saturday.

Applicants are expected to have at least a Grade 7 level of proficiency.
