Demonstrations by the Armed Forces of Malta, the Fire Fighting Division, and Police dogs took place at the Malta College of Arts, Science and Technology Foundation Day celebrations marking the setting up of the college in 2000, which were held last Friday week at Mcast's main campus in Paola.

The event was attended by many of the college's 5,000 full-time students, lecturers and staff. After a Mass celebrated by the College Chaplain Fr John Curmi, the college grounds hosted a football tournament, wall climbing, kick boxing, a tug of war tournament and other sports activities and fun games. Meanwhile, Institute of Community Services students performed nail art, a live band played, a car boot sale was held, food stalls and the mobile blood donation unit were set up around the campus.

There is also an exhibition on climate change and stands providing students with information on travel opportunities and participation in EU exchange programmes.
