Attard
A large mechanical crib is on show at 37, St Dominic Street, Attard. The crib can be viewed until January 1 on weekdays from 5.30 to 8 p.m. and on Sundays and public holidays from 4.30 to 8 p.m.

Birkirkara
Franklyn Pace is displaying a static polystyrene and plaster crib measuring 2.4 metres deep and 2.1 metres wide at 71, Main Street, Birkirkara. The crib consists of hand-made clay statuettes.

Viewing hours are from 5 to 8 p.m. on weekdays, and from 9.30 to noon and 5 to 8 p.m. on Sundays and public holidays. The exhibition ends on January 2.

A static crib by Fredu Muscat is on display at 56, Main Street, Birkirkara, until January 2. It is open on weekdays from 4 to 8 p.m. and on Sundays and public holidays from 9 a.m. to noon and 4 to 8.30 p.m.

Birzebbuga
St Peter's Band Club of Birzebbuga A.D. 1990, is exhibiting a mechanical crib at 14, Birzebbuga Road (next door to the club).

The crib is 3.6 metres square and consists of various traditional scenes such as the Maltese windmill, a mill driven by oxen, a bakery, and a pottery maker. The crib has more than 40 mechanical statuettes.

Visiting hours are from Monday to Friday between 5 to 8.30 p.m. and Saturday, Sundays and public holidays from 9 a.m. to 12.30 p.m. and 3 to 8.30 p.m. Entrance is free.

Mosta
The Talent Mosti philanthropic society is displaying a static crib made by society member Jimmy Mifsud, and another 15 small artistic cribs created by friends of the society.

The exhibition is open at Ir-Razzett tal-Markiz Mallia Tabone, Triq Wied il-Ghasel, Mosta, till January 5. Opening hours are 6 to 9 p.m. opn weekdays and from 10 a.m. to noon on Sundays and public holidays. Entrance is free.

Qormi
A mechanical crib designed and built by Raymond Cassar is being exhibited at 88, "Evergreen", Triq is-Saghtar, Qormi.

Opening hours are weekdays from 5.30 to 8.30 p.m. and weekends and public holidays from 9 a.m. till noon and 3 till 8.30 p.m. The exhibition ends on January 6.

Tarxien
Emanuel Axiaq is holding his traditional artistic crib exhibition at Tarxien.

The handcrafted polystyrene crib covers 165 square feet and is adorned with highly finished hand-made pasturi that are crafted by the same artist, and are placed within the crib in such a way that is harmonious.

This artist has become very well known among crib lovers, and the proof of this is his handful of first prizes he has won throughout the years.

The crib is on show at Ghimma-nu-el, Karlu Maratta Street, and continues till January 6.

Opening hours are Monday to Saturday from 5 to 8 p.m.; Sundays and public holidays from 10 a.m. to noon and 3.30 till 8 p.m.

Xaghra
For the 12th consecutive year, Victor Agius is exhibiting his mechanical Nativity scene, covering more than 220 square feet.

The crib can be seen at Ggantija Art Gallery, John Otto Bayer Street, Xaghra, Gozo (near Ggantija Temples), between 6.30 and 8.30 p.m., and on Sundays and public holidays between 9 a.m and noon 5 till 8.30 p.m. The exhibition ends on January 2.

The biblical style of the buildings and figurines, a model of Jerusalem during the times when Jesus lived and the multilingual commentary will help visitors feel the spirit of the first Christmas.

The statuettes are made of terracotta and papier-mâché and the majority are set in motion.

Zejtun
A mechanical crib is on show from today till January 2 from 9 .am. to noon and from 4 to 7 p.m. at the Jesus of Nazareth Institute, Bishop Emanuel Galea Street, Zejtun.

A bazaar will be held at the Institute at the same time during this period. All are welcome.
