Two men, who were allegedly involved in a fight over a parking space, were yesterday charged with seriously injuring each other.

Christian Cumbo, 21, of Msida, was charged with injuring Carmel Sammut, trespassing into his property and causing over Lm50 damage in Birkirkara on Monday.

Sammut, 57, of Birkirkara, was charged with injuring Cumbo and the possession of a pointed instrument without a licence.

Both were charged with breaching the peace and uttering obscene words in public. They were granted bail against a personal guarantee of Lm5,000 each.

At the end of yesterday's sitting Dr Joseph Giglio asked Magistrate Consuelo Scerri Herrera to nominate a photographer to take pictures of the damage caused at Sammut's house when Cumbo allegedly barged in.

Police Inspector Kevin Farrugia prosecuted.

Dr Chris Cardona appeared for Cumbo and Dr Joseph Giglio appeared for Sammut.
