Eminent Italian flute player Enzo Caroli will give two performances in Gozo this weekend as part of the 13th edition of the Gaulitana music festival, which ends on Sunday.

He will perform a flute recital entitled Flute Classics, accompanied by Anna Martignon, at the Gozo Ministry hall, Victoria, on Friday at 7.30pm. The recital will include works by Poulenc, Mozart, Schubert and Schumann, together with Cécile Chaminade’s well-known Flute Concertino in D major, Op. 107.

Caroli and the Gaulitana String Orchestra, under the direction of Colin Attard, will also perform Tchaikovsky’s Serenade for Strings and Stamitz’s Flute Concerto at the finale concert at St Francis church, Victoria, on Sunday at 7.30pm.
