A community-based project Programm Tbissima was launched on Saturday by President Marie-Louise Coleiro Preca.
It will aim to provide a safe and positive space for children and young people in Marsa, give them further opportunities to develop their full potential, be proactive in their community, and engage positively as social citizens while building healthy relationships in a warm and supportive space.
The project will be developed in collaboration with the local community, but will initially begin by offering youth mentorship, fun social activities, and educational support through a homework club.
The President met with councilors, NGOs, teachers, parents, and residents at a meeting hosted by Marsa council, followed by brief walk to the Marsa Primary School, where Programm Tbissima will initially operate from, until it is firmly established within the community.
The project aims to make a positive social impact by fostering a platform of collaboration between individuals and organizations already doing good work in the area.
Children will be given the tools to be creative and develop their talents, build leadership skills, nurture social responsibility, and strengthen their sense of belonging and active citizenship.
Programm Tbissima is an initiative of the President’s Trust, which will be implemented by the Right 2 Smile Foundation.
