The Department of Civil Aviation failed to give any advice to the Prime Minister on the viability or otherwise on the possibility of having an airstrip in Gozo.

A report laid on the Table of the House by Dr Gonzi yesterday, concluded that it was "beyond the remit and capabilities of the DCA to advise on the viability or otherwise of such a project from an economic, financial, environmental or social perspective".

The Prime Minister was answering a question by Anton Refalo (PL).
