AX Group employees got together last Saturday to clean up the area close to Fra Ben in Buġibba.

Volunteers from the company's head office, construction, The Palace, Victoria, Sunny Coast and Seashells Resort at Suncrest hotels took part, about 40 in all.

The local council provided gloves and garbage bags while provision for waste collection was also made.

Wearing purposely made T-shirts and caps, the volunteers filled a large skip full of waste made up of plastic bottles, boxes and broken items, among other rubbish.
