Italian rock and blues legend Zucchero will be back for his third Maltese concert on July 30 as part of his Chockabeck world tour.

The artiste is best-known for his hits Senza una Donna, Diamante, Diavolo in Me, Baila (Sexy Thing) and for his duet with the late Luciano Pavarotti Miserere.

Sugar, as he is also known, will be accompanied by an 11-strong band at an open air stage at the Malta Fairs and Conventions Centre, and will be belting out songs from his latest album, Chockabeck, and from his extensive back catalogue.

Asked whether the organisers were worried the Santana concert being held just six days before might jeopardise sales, Amabile Zammit, one of the organisers said "if we were worried we wouldn't have organised it", adding "the Pope came three times to Malta, and people still went".

The concert will only be open for people aged 17 and over because of the laws regulating alcohol sale in concerts, and tickets start from €25 for bronze tickets, €35 for silver, €60 for gold and €200 for the VIP section.

The Platinum VIP tickets, costing €200, include free parking, a DVD, a CD, an autographed photo, and, above all, a meet and greet with Zucchero at the Petite Hall at the MFCC before the concert with a Martini welcome drink and an After Party VIP Treat at the same venue.

All tickets are also on sale on-line.
