Animals, and sometimes their owners, need us
This is our monthly animals and pets issue and, as usual, we're introducing some of your pets and giving you a chance to win your pet a present.
We are also asking you to look out for pets that have loving owners who want to keep them at home, but have trouble looking after them.
Often these pets end up homeless or in animals shelters because, although their owners love them dearly, they cannot keep them.
This may be because they are unwell or find it difficult to prepare food for their pets, exercise them or take them on visits to the vet. Their pets are their loving companions, who give them good company and affection, and it is a pity when people have to lose a pet they love for want of a little help.
Do you know someone whose dog you could take for walks? Someone whose pet needs to be taken to the vet, or groomed or who just needs a little support caring for their pet?
The help you give will make a real difference. Animals, their owners and you will all gain so much joy from working and playing so they can stay together. So keep your eyes and ears open. See what you and your friends can do.
Exciting new competitions!
This week we're beginning some new competitions. There will be four chances for you to win a stylish pair of Geox shoes.
There is also a brand new series of Playmobil competitions which will take us all the way through till the end of summer and follow lots of really exciting and brand new themes!
And please remember that all competition entries, sent by post or e-mail, must include your full name, age and address.
