From Cristina Sutton, eight, of Żebbuġ.

Dear Junior News, I would like to share with you my hobby. My hobby is swimming. In summer my family and I decided to get a season membership at St Dorothy's swimming pool, in Żebbuġ, which is very close to where I live.

We started to go from July 1. From then my sisters Gabriella and Daniela started teaching me how to swim. At first I was scared but now I am very confident swimming in an Olympic-sized pool.

Now, I can dive for my cap goggles when they fall deep down and I can jump cannonball style and pencil style. I do all of this in the afternoon on a Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Friday and on Saturday mornings.

At the pool I see some friends, relatives and other people that I don't even know! It's been a lovely time swimming in the pool, I hope next summer we will be able to use the pool again. Yours truly, Cristina.

You are really lucky to have such a perfect environment to learn to swim in Cristina and to have your kind sisters to help you. We hope you will go on doing as well this summer, especially as Malta has so many beautiful beaches to swim from as well. And you've waited a long time to see your letter in print but you've won an €11.65 voucher for sending this week's star letter. Well done and please send us your full address.

From Audrey Anne Cassar, 10.

Dear Junior News, my name is Audrey Anne Cassar and I am 10 years old. Today I am writing a letter to tell you about my holiday in France.

I went with my parents and younger brother. It was our first experience as a whole family, We spent five days in Paris and two in Disneyland. We had a lovely time. We went with a tour. We went to the top of the Eiffel Tower. We saw the Arc de Triumphe and went to the most popular street in France, the Champs Elysees. We rode on a boat called Bateaux Parisienne in French.

We went to see Notre Dame and Sacré Coeur churches. We also went to a market named Montmartre. We went to another place called Reims. There we were shown how champagne is made. We also went to a little village called Barbizon. On our free day we went to visit the Garnier Opera House and the Louvre museum

Our days in Disneyland were magical too. It is divided into five parts Fantasyland, Frontierland, Discoveryland, Adventureland and the Walt Disney studios. We rode loads of exciting rides. We saw the night electrical parade where all the Disney floats are illuminated with little lights. They switch off all the other street lights. There were also fireworks. We had lots and lots of fun and I am sure my first holiday is not going to be the last. Yours truly, Audrey Anne.

It sounds like the perfect holiday Audrey Anne and we don't think it will be your last either. Just be sure to write and tell us about the other places you visit too.
