An 18-year-old driver was seriously hurt when her Citroen AX was involved in a head-on collision with a trailer truck at Ħal Far Road, Birżebbuġa at about 1.45 p.m. yesterday. The police said the woman's injuries were not life threatening. The 26-year-old driver of the truck, who is from Tarxien, was not injured. Personnel from the Civil Protection Department freed the injured woman from her car.
