Inter have signed Cameroon defender Pierre Wome on a free transfer from relegated Brescia.

Wome, who has also played in Italy for Bologna and Roma and had a brief spell in England with Fulham, has signed a one-year contract with Roberto Mancini's side.

The 26-year-old, an attacking left-back, was out of contract and will fill what was a problem position for Mancini last season when Inter finished third in Serie A.

"He is still a young player but he has the right Italian and international experience to best settle down into Roberto Mancini's squad," Inter director Marco Branca said.

Wome becomes Inter's second signing of the close-season after they secured the services of midfielder Juan Sebastian Veron on a two-year deal from Chelsea.
