Kaladze: Georgian defender Kakha Kaladze has agreed to a new five-year contract with Milan. Kaladze had been expected to join English champions Chelsea after reportedly agreeing personal terms but the two clubs were unable to agree a transfer fee. Allback: Sweden striker Marcus Allback is joining FC Copenhagen on a free transfer from Bundesliga side Hansa Rostock. Allback, who turns 32 next week, had moved to Rostock last season after a two-year spell at Aston Villa, where he struggled to make an impact.

Brazil friendly: United Arab Emirates will take on world champions Brazil in a friendly at Abu Dhabi on November 12, the UAE's football association said yesterday. It will be the first visit by Brazil's senior side to the UAE, although their youngsters won the FIFA world youth championship there in 2003.

Bolton: Bolton have appointed Sammy Lee, a member of England's coaching staff, as assistant manager to Sam Allardyce. Lee, who won two European Cups in a fine playing career with Liverpool, will switch from being full-time to part-time under England coach Sven-Goran Eriksson.
