A woman who stands charged with murdering her mother has testified in the case of her two friends who are pleading not guilty to stealing the mother’s car two weeks before her death.

The woman, who is now 18, is accused of murdering her mother in San Gwann four years ago.

She told the court she gave the car keys of her mother’s car to her two friends two weeks before her mother died.

She said all three of them, including a man who is her co-accused in the murder case, would regularly drive to Paceville in the mother’s car for a night out on town.

The car went missing in the two weeks before the mother died. It was tracked down smashed to bits and the keys were found in the possession of the friends.

The case continues.
