A white paper to address the bureaucratic situation in the inspections system has been launched for consultation.

The government said there were currently 24 inspectorates, which carried out a total of 70,000 inspections a year.

This led to the possibility of businesses getting six inspections in one day. The reform is intended to change the culture and orient the system more towards conformity with the law, rather than enforcement.

The white paper is available here.

Consultation is open until October 30.
