I was appalled to read so many letters from Maltese residents who have not received parcels from their loved ones over the Christmas period.

I would like to ask Maltapost: Where are all these parcels?

We have lost our post so many times before but this was the last straw. We have tried ringing the parcel office and the freephone number for customer care. But all was in vain.

One line rings and is never answered and the other is constantly engaged. I have e-mailed them through the Maltapost website in the hope that I may get some response and I have also told them that I am writing this letter.

One big question. How is it that when we send parcels to the UK they arrive at their destination within about three or four days safe and sound and yet from the UK to Malta, in a great many cases, they do not arrive at all?

Please do not try and tell me that they go astray at the UK end otherwise parcels sent from Malta would never arrive at their destination. Why is it always someone other than Maltapost to blame?

Maltapost should remember that the longer they give no answers the more people will draw their own conclusions!
