Clever Solutions Ltd, in collaboration with Finnish partner Nepako Corporation, recently held a seminar on open innovation in Malta at the Radisson Blu Resort, St Julian’s.
The seminar was the launch-pad for Kupoma, a free web-based innovation platform released in public beta. The platform was launched by Kalle Sintonen, chief executive officer at Nepako Corporation, who outlined why the company chose to work with a Maltese partner.
Kupoma facilitates networking and collaboration by providing users with tools integrated into a common platform.
The event, attended by researchers and business people saw interventions from representatives of the Malta Chamber of Commerce, Enterprise and Industry, MCAST, the Edward de Bono Institute for the Design and Development of Thinking, Malta Enterprise, and the GRTU.
It was opened by Parliamentary Secretary for Small Business and Land Jason Azzopardi. Dr Azzopardi spoke of Malta’s innovation-driven economy and stressed the importance for Maltese businesses to attract innovations from overseas while striving to be innovative themselves.
Clever Solutions Ltd director Carmelo Romano pointed out that such events were important as they enhanced and brought together Malta’s innovation community.
The company is planning to organise and participate in further innovation-related initiatives in Malta and abroad.
