Malta's unbeaten record at the European ‘B' Championship was broken today when Sergio Afric's team lost 11-6 to Great Britain in Lugano, Switzerland.

Great Britain took a comfortable 6-2 lead by the half-way mark, after having scored four times without reply in the opening session. The third quarter saw the Britons consolidating their lead with another two goals before the Maltese hit back in the final session which they won 4-3.

Malta, with a record of three victories and a defeat, play the Netherlands in their final match from the group stage. Classification matches start on Friday.
