Wales scored two fine tries to beat Australia 21-18 at the Millennium Stadium yesterday and secure the only victory by a northern hemisphere team over a Tri-Nations side this year.

The Wallabies also went over twice, the difference between the teams being a penalty by flyhalf Stephen Jones, who booted 11 points to add to first-half tries from World Player of the Year Shane Williams and Lee Byrne.

At Twickenham, Mils Muliaina scored two tries as New Zealand piled on the second-half points to claim a 32-6 victory over an error-strewn England and complete their third grand slam of wins over the four home nations.
