A number of localities in Gozo experienced service degradation and interruptions today because of an equipment failure at one of the company's sites, Vodafone said this afternoon.
It said in a statement this was beyond its control and it affected a number of customers and businesses in Gozo.
Vodafone's engineering staff identified the root cause of the problem and took action to rectify it. The faulty equipment was replaced and the service was fully restored by 1.30 p.m.
The areas affected were Victoria Gozo and its vicinities.
Vodafone apologised for the inconvenience and disruption.
