Week 15 of the National League saw Veltins Premium Lager retaining their lead with a 6-2 win over Ramis as challengers Fina First gained two points by beating Thunder Storm 8-0.

These two results mean Fina are now second, above Ramis, but still 19 points adrift of the leaders.

There were five full-point wins from the six Division One matches last week at the Eden Superbowl.

Veltins dropped two points against Ramis but will be very hard to catch over the remaining eight matches.

The two teams traded wins in the first two games. Ramis had the slight pin advantage but Veltins made sure of the win by taking game three 747-686, thus claiming the series points by 29 pins.

Ramis' upset, together with an 8-0 win over Thunder Storm, meant Fina First move into second place in the classification.

Game one was a real humdinger, the teams looking to outdo each other with every shot - and both scoring well. Fina First took it 854-810, going on to take the other two 758-736 and 733-722.

Aercomms also picked up all eight points to the detriment of Royal Shock, thus moving closer to the top three, as another 0-8 scoreline in favour of Fina Excel meant more bad news for lowly Toons.

Ninth-placed Masacuatas played a bizarre three-game series as they lost 8-0 to Maltacom who are currently fifth.

It was 8-0 once again between Café D'Or and last-placed Vodafone, who must surely have accepted that relegation back to the second division looks to be their almost certain fate at the end of the season.
