The Doubles League came to a close with the last fixtures in all its three divisions. The competition was played throughout the season at St Martin's College, Swatar.
Kenneth Vella/Rodney Abela (Pawla Wolves Schtag) won the First Division title. They remained unbeaten throughout the competition.
In their final match, Abela-Vella beat direct contenders and team-mates David Cole/Edmund Abela in two sets. Having initially surged 6/2 in front, Vella/Abela then found themselves trailing 6/8. Though they managed to recover and move ahead 11/8, they were caught again by Cole/Abela who drew level at 13/13. A final rally saw them clinching the first set 15/13.
The second set seemed to follow the same pattern, with both pairs level at 8/8. However, Vella/Abela started to gain the upperhand. Point after point, they slowly charged ahead to 12/8, going on to win the set 15/12.

The Second Division title went to Chris Salomone/Keith Mallia (Birkirkara Medairco). They were unbeaten, finishing their commitments with maximum points from the six matches. In their final fixture, they had the better of Daniel Abdilla/Karl Gambin 15/11 15/9.
Vincent Pace/Austin Compagno secured the third berth after beating Chris Spiteri/George Camilleri, 15/10 15/10.
