Artists are adding a magical touch to the Valletta Waterfront as they gather to paint the great outdoors.

The initiative to offer the Valletta Waterfront as a meeting place for artists to express their interpretation of the destination is a joint venture between Viset, the operators of the Valletta Waterfront and the Malta Society of Arts, Manufactures and Commerce.

A number have already signed up to make the Valletta Waterfront their place for inspiration. All artists are invited to join this initiative, which is not restricted to only members of the Society.

One artist who has set up shop at the Valletta Waterfront is Vania Goshe. She said: “I decided to form part of this initiative because I thought it would give me a good opportunity to paint outdoors, meet new artists and get more public exposure.

“By displaying an array of colours and styles, painting live and being able to communicate directly with the public one would hope that in time more and more people will learn to appreciate art and start to collect it.

“Being in a place of food, drink, sea, history, live music and an overall romantic, tranquil atmosphere translates into the perfect environment for artists to express their emotions,” she said.
