Ferrari's Felipe Massa picked up where team mate Kimi Raikkonen left off on Wednesday by securing the top of the timesheets and completing over 100 laps, although his car suffered a small fire early in proceedings.

McLaren's Fernando Alonso joined the test on Wednesday after only having carried out an installation lap on Tuesday. He continued to test McLaren's innovative front wing, which features a new span over the nose, but only placed fifth on the timesheets. Second on Wednesday, three tenths of a second slower than Massa, was Red Bull's Mark Webber in the RB3. Jarno Trulli was third for Toyota and Renault's Heikki Kovalainen fourth after raking in 121 laps.
