Children from all over Malta joined a treasure hunt to discover a tale of mystery and fantasy
After tearing round Mosta solving clues and collecting bookmarks, two of the Merlin treasure hunt teams simultaneously burst through the door of the Razzett tal-Markiz Mallia Tabone, where they correctly claimed to have found the location hiding an unusual treasure - copies of an exceptional new children's book.
The launch of Sqaq l-Infern, published by Merlin, brought together history, mystery and marvellous animation as characters and scenes from the book came to life, just hinting at the fable and fantasy to be found in this amazing story.
Delicious snacks followed, all from traditional Maltese recipes and all with a place in the story!
A wonderful cake was cut by the authors Simon Bartolo and Loranne Vella and you can read what some of the excited participants thought of the event on page four.
