Motorists will this morning find the price of fuel slightly cheaper as unleaded petrol will sell at 2c less and the cost of diesel at the pump will go down by 1c.

Enemalta yesterday announced new fuel prices as part of its monthly revision mechanism.

The price of unleaded petrol now reads €1.10 per litre, while diesel costs €0.96 per litre. LRP retails at the pump at €1.18 per litre, also down 2c.

Kerosene continued to mimic the price of diesel and is now sold at €0.96 per litre. There was no change in the price of gasoil for heating while industrial heavy fuels saw prices decrease by €7 across the board. Enemalta said the price revisions reflected the purchases made by the corporation for its last shipments of fuel and prices were based on August levels.
