I and many other fellow University students totally disassociate ourselves from the comedy in four acts which took place last Monday at the university's Sir Temi Zammit Hall.
It is well felt among students that the KSU does not represent the students of the University, but veers more towards being another variety of SDM.
And Monday was the culmination of all this, thanks to the farce which KSU allowed in the hall. Questions were made to serve the purpose of KSU's own agenda, with unfounded attacks directed at some heads of state rather than others. Should the KSU have done a little research beforehand and asked us students what was really on our minds, questions would have been very different, at least definitely more balanced. For example many students are still wondering how the KSU did not budge an inch when the latest reduction in stipends took place, which happened around three years ago, if I'm not mistaken, and not upon Dr Sant's initiative.
If anything, this farce has only proven one fact. That the new ħamalli are in town - and this time they're not Lejburisti.
