Six teams are taking part in the U-21 netball league which got underway last weekend at the University Sports Hall, Tal-Qroqq.

Banjos 35
Kaizers 12

Some Banjos U-21 players also take part in the national league. It was no surprise, therefore, that they beat newcomers Kaizers.

Banjos had almost 45 per cent of successful shots (35-78) but Kaizers managed only 33 per cent (12-36).

Kaizers won the last quarter, slotting in five shots to Banjos's two.

Umpires: C. Dingli, J. Mangani.

All Ages Too 46
Marsascala Angels 4

Unfortunately for Marsascala Angels, All Ages Too also have most of their players figuring in the national league. They dominated throughout as the scoreline indicates.

In the last quarter, All Ages introduced all their line-up with Angels managing to score three times against the nine of their opponents.

Umpires: M. Bartolo, C. Dingli.

NRG 15
Mellieha 24

The Mellieha nursery have conducted serious training for a good number of years now. Their efforts paid off on Sunday with this win over NRG in the most interesting game of the day.

The final score would have been closer had NRG not lost the first quarter by six shots. The game continued to be balanced with NRG winning the last quarter (5-2).

Umpires: S. Farrugia, J. Calleja.
