Two men were this morning granted bail against a personal guarantee of €1,000 (Lm429.18) and a deposit of €800 (Lm 343.84) after they pleaded not guilty to trying to steal from a residence in Zebbug.
Anthony Curmi, 25 and Clayton Polidano, 24 both from Kirkop pleaded not guilty to trying to steal from a residence in Zebbug on Wednesday afternoon.
Mr Curmi also pleaded not guilty to causing under €1000 (Lm429.18) damage to the property. Mr Polidano pleaded not guilty to committing a crime within the operative period of a suspended sentence.
Police Inspector Malcolm Bondin prosecuted.
Lawyers Joseph Giglio and Stephen Tonna Lowell appeared for the defendants.
