He may be Danish by birth, but there’s a big part of Jesper Ejrup that has Maltese roots, and it’s got a lot to do with his tight connection with the local music scene.

The singer-songwriter has played a vital part in giving several Maltese bands the opportunity to perform in Denmark as well as managing his own music career.

Ejrup is back in Malta with his trio, Rene Kim Brusen and Morten Skøtt Knudsen primarily to launch his new single, Trouble, as well as to perform a string of live dates that kicked off last Tuesday and will come to a close with a final performance tonight at the Black Pearl in Ta’ Xbiex.

The performance starts at 7 p.m. and entrance is free.
