The Toyota GT86 which is returning Toyota to its racing pedigree, was launched in Pembroke this morning.

The car has been in development for seven years and only seven per cent of its parts come from previous models.

Even though it is relatively high powered, it keeps emissions to a minimum.

The car was launched as part of the Drift Allstars European Series being held in Pembroke in association with FM Promotions Ltd this weekend.

The championships knock-off this evening at 6 p.m. and a champion will be named on Sunday. Local participation will be in force with the top drift drivers from Malta taking part.
