Top military chefs from Germany and the US will be cooking a delicious dinner to raise funds for Inspire at the International Military Chefs Dinner.

The chefs will be putting together a three-course meal at the renowned The Chef, Wine Bar, Brasserie and Lounge in Xemxija on November 9 at 8 p.m.

Among the 15 chefs who will be concocting culinary delights are the personal chefs for the US Navy in Europe and Africa.

They have travelled widely have sampled and picked up cooking skills from all over the world. They are in Malta to take part in the bi-annual culinary and cookery arts competition organised by the Malta Chefs Society called Malta Kulinarja. It runs from November 6 to 13.

The menu, which boasts hints of Italian and French cuisine, has been specially designed for this event. It includes a Caprese salad with fine fresh mozzarella di bufala set on crisp rocket leaves.

Patrons can then choose from 'Vitella al Limone' – veal cutlets in a rich lemon butter and herb sauce – or sautéed fillets of grouper served in a white wine, lemon, fresh herb and cherry tomato sauce. Both will be accompanied by a medley of fresh vegetables and noisette potatoes.

To finish off is a chocolate tart served with a hot crème anglais.
