Twenty innovative projects are currently taking shape as part of the Entrepreneurship through Education scheme launched by the Parliamentary Secretariat for Small Businesses and the Education Ministry following the last budget.

The scheme placed €100,000 at the disposal of public, private and church schools to create projects and initiatives on entrepreneurship from which children would learn more about businesses.

Parliamentary Secretary for Small Businesses Jason Azzopardi this morning visited the Enterprise in Action project at Sta Margherita College in Vittoriosa, which has been put up by 30 students from the different schools within the college.

The project is aimed at exposing students to enterprise and instil in them a sense of business.

Dr Azzopardi said that today's young people were tomorrow's potential entrepreneurs and the government wanted to invest in them to give them the tools to enter the competitive world market.
