Times of Malta speaks to an experienced consultant paediatrician who urged parents not to waste time and have their children vaccinated after the health authorities alerted doctors to a possible measles outbreak. In another story, it says operators are considering Standard & Poor’s decision to downgrade by two notches the risk score of Malta’s banking sector as a major blow to the island’s reputation as an international financial centre.

The Malta Independent says doctors and specialists at Gozo Hospital will be in place by August 15.

In-Nazzjon describes as delaying tactics moves against the recusal of Magistrate Antonio Mizzi from getting involved in the Panama Papers inquiry.

L-Orizzont says Tourism Minister Konrad Mizzi expressed satisfaction at the increase in the number of tourists in June and stated his commitment to work for tourism arrivals to be evenly spread over the year.
