Three people have died in a helicopter crash in northern Russia.

According to Russia's Emergency Situations Ministry, the private Eurocopter crashed on Sunday in the Murmansk region on the Kola Peninsula.

It said the helicopter suddenly banked on one side and crashed while attempting to take off.

The ministry didn't identify the victims, but Russian news reports quoted local officials as saying that a Russian and two British tourists died in the crash.
